Jamie Blair

Jamie Blair started his career in Muskoka as a builder and co-owner of Muskoka Lakes Contractors, gaining skills that provided him with essential, first-hand experience in all aspects of cottage construction, renovation, design and maintenance. Jamie joined Johnson & Daniel Real Estate Ltd as a new sales representative in 1986, but continued with Muskoka contracting in the early 1990s when he completed an extensive restoration project for a real estate client who had purchased a century-old cottage on Black Forest Island. In 1993, Jamie Blair and his real estate partner Tom McDonald brought Chestnut Park Real Estate Ltd to Muskoka, securing Foots Bay as their office on Lake Joseph. By the end of the century, Jamie had built his home on Chief’s Island, Lake Joseph where he and his wife Fiona lived and raised their two sons, Christopher and Taylor. As Lake Jospeh’s only year-round island residents, Jamie and Fiona quickly learned all things to do with island living.

With over 38 years of experience in Muskoka Lakes real estate, rest assured Jamie has an extensive client base of buyers and sellers. He specialized in the marketing and selling of properties on Lakes Joseph, Rosseau, and Muskoka as well as Georgian Bay and numerous smaller lakes. Jamie has consistently been in the top percentile for sales at Chestnut Park. More recently as “The Blair Group”, Jamie, Christopher, and Taylor Blair show both mainland and island listings to potential buyers by boat and then by road if necessary. This way, buyers get a true understanding as to the scope and size of the property, the area, and the surrounding neighbourhood. Most agents do not offer this service. Jamie has always focused on quality of service, sometimes now listing and selling cottages to the grandchildren of his original clients.
